I am not accustomed to working with different weights of paper. I bought this as an alternative. it is heavier and thicker than I realized it would be. But it works well in my laser and inkjet printers. So I am happy with it. However, it is too heavy or "normal" use, so I view it as for special purposes. Sometimes I make "greeting" cards, printing both sides and folding. this is not heavy enough for that - at least no heavy enough to pass as a "real" card. For that I use a 40 pound paper, which also works OK in my ink jet through the rear feed, but not with the laser jet, which works only from a tray.
